Swedish Spritz Recipe

Here is a great family recipe for Swedish Spritz. With recipe you can make traditional wreath or "S" shaped goodies. Ingredients 1 1/2 cups of butter or margarine 1 cup of sugar 1 egg 1 tsp vanilla 1/2 tsp almond extract 4 cups sifted flour 1 tsp baking powder Mix together butter or margarine and sugar, mix until it has a creamy texture Add egg, vanilla, and almond extract, beat well Sift together flour and baking powder, add gradually to the butter and sugar mixture, mixing into a soft smooth dough Place dough in a press on to an ungreased cookie sheet Bake at 425 degrees for 7 to 11 minutes Remove from oven and let cool Decorate Makes about 6 dozen |
